Lomanthang, a remote village in the North of Nepal is a highly Tibetan-influenced region famously known as the ‘Forbidden Kingdom.’ Upper Mustang (Ancient Kingdom of Lo) had very little contact with the rest of the world, helping it to retain its culture, language, and religion. This quaint village opened up for the world some 20 years back, allowing people to come in and experience mountain life like never before. With its desert-like topography and snowy winters, experiencing Lomanthang is truly an awe-inspiring adventure of the village life of the Himalayan range. This package will take you through the daily life of mountain people, grazing cattle, yaks with jingling bells, and mules leading the way for all. Even the streets are a sort of open-air museum where you will pass Tibetan stupas. These monuments house Buddhist Tibetan artifacts and provide a space for meditation and relaxation.

We have designed this Package for this astonishing region which allows guests to experience the existence of a mystical untouched world that still is living at its original pace.

The Ancient Palaces of the Bista Kings at Lomangthang, the forbidden Kingdom, is worth a visit, and the Old Museums will welcome you to the world of mysticism. Your day will be well spent as you explore Lomangthang and visit the Ancient Caves, Monasteries, and everyday life of the locals. You will be surprised to see the Old Caves in the rough mountains, visit there, and take pictures, but you will also be surprised to see the Monasteries and very few monks staying there in isolation. You will simply love to spare some time to talk with these young monks and learn about their isolated lifestyles and simple happiness and contentment in these remote places. You are now only a few miles from the Tibetan Border.
